Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday:burrito or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: funnel cake or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: little piggy or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: hot ham and cheese on a bun, tater tots, broccoli florets and dip, pineapple tidbits.
Tuesday: bosco sticks, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cookie.
Wednesday: chicken nuggets, cheesy potatoes, corn, dinner roll, peach half.
Thursday: beef taco, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, banana.
Friday: Walnut School picnic. Spaghetti with meat sauce, cinnamon roll, greed beans, apple wedges.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, Mediterranean vegetables, applesauce.
Tuesday: tater tot casserole, carrots, strawberries, bread, cheesecake.
Wednesday: sliced pork roast, candied sweet potatoes, California-blend vegetables, wheat roll, banana.
Thursday: hamburger, bun, sliced tomato, macaroni salad, orange.
Friday: beef stew, cottage cheese, with raw vegetables, crackers, pineapple chunks.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: baked fish, parslied potatoes, carrots, bread, fruited gelatin.
Tuesday: chicken enchilada, wild rice, lettuce and tomato salad, fresh fruit, cookie.
Wednesday: Hungarian goulash, succotash, wheat roll, baked apples.
Thursday: pot roast, boiled potatoes and gravy, cabbage, hot roll, fruit cobbler.
Friday: chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, beets, bread, apricots.
