LAST WEEK, an interesting story tip came into the newsroom. Apparently, assistant city manager Mark McAnarney was spotted over his lunch hour mowing the lawn at Chuck Grimwoods house.
One can only speculate as to why the assistant city manager was doing this. Perhaps the assistant city manger has picked up a few mowing customers to earn extra bucks to help supplement the city budget. Maybe he got arrested and this was part of his community service. Or maybe this is some sort of city staff outreach to help do some neighborhood beautification.
Clearly we need to ask Mark some follow-up questions to get to the bottom of this story. Mark should probably come to my house for an interview. Of course he may want to bring his lawn mower, because there might just be a couple of acres of grass that could use his attention.
