ESU baseball winning streak snapped at 35 games
No. 2 Hornets fall 5-3 to Central Missouri

The Emporia State baseball team saw its MIAA-record 35 game win streak snapped on Friday, as the Hornets fell to Central Missouri, 5-3, in Warrensburg, Mo.
ESU trailed 5-1 in the top of the ninth before an Eric Shortell two-run home run made it 5-3.
With two outs, Kevin Wempe was hit by a pitch, but Nick Wolfe struck out to end the game.
ESU (42-4, 28-1 MIAA) will continue its series with UCM on Saturday, as the teams play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
