We were visiting Emporia on April 18 for a high school baseball game at the Soden’s Grove field and we had a little accident. A foul ball broke out the back glass of our car.
Well, at this point, what do you do but try to get the worst of it cleaned up and go home? A couple from Emporia came to the rescue with some plastic sheet and duct tape. I did not get their names, but we would like to thank them for the kind act of helping us in a time of need. It is very comforting when you can go to another town and people help out other people in a time of need.
So thanks again to that couple, you know who you are, and also thanks to the concession-stand workers who gave us a couple of hamburgers for the chilly ride home.
