The Emporia State baseball team moved up two spots to No. 2 in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll. The ranking matches the highest-ever for the Hornets since joining the NCAA.
ESU has won 35 straight games — an MIAA record — and is 11 victories away from tying the Division-II record for consecutive wins.
The Hornets face Central Missouri in a four-game series starting Friday in Warrensburg, Mo.
