Bridging the Gap, a five-day, 40-hour basic training in interpretation for medical and social service interpreters, will be offered free of charge in Emporia from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 23 through 27 at the Flint Hills Special Education Center, 1700 W. Seventh Ave., by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Participants must register online for Bridging the Gap through KS TRAIN at http://ks.train.org and fill out a Jewish Vocational Service form, available at www.jvskc.org or at (816) 471-2808 (Cathy Anderson)
Applications are to be sent to JVS, 1608 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City, MO 64108 or faxed to (816) 471-2930.
