Obituary mistake

SATURDAY’S paper had nine obituaries printed. Six of them were from a year ago, one being my mother.
I cannot understand how this could possibly happen. Does no one proofread before it goes to print? How incompetent! A mistake is printing someone’s age wrong in the police report. This is one of those mistakes that should NEVER be made.
Now, every year we will pick up the paper wondering if this mistake is made again. It is an anniversary our family will never forget and we do not need The Emporia Gazette to remind us, in print, every year. Once was more than enough.
My heart goes out to the other families that had to endure this also.
