Call ruled unattended death

A report of a body in the 1600 block of West South Avenue around 4 p.m. Tuesday has been ruled an unattended death.

Mike Williams, deputy chief of the Emporia Police Department, confirmed this morning the death was unattended. At 3:46 p.m. Tuesday, the Emporia/Lyon County EMS response log stated a medical problem in the 1600 block of West South Avenue. No further details were released.
