Emporia State University will hold its annual Glass Guild Blowout, featuring noted glass artist Scott Darlington, on Saturday in the Glass Studio at the bottom of the hill on the north end of Highland Street.

Darlington, a glass artist from Bowling Green University, will be displaying his work during the event’s hot glass demonstrations and will demonstrate some complicated techniques, glass guild secretary Patrick Rush said.

The event begins with the first round of hot glass demonstrations at 9 a.m., which run until 12:30 p.m. Following a one-hour break, more hot glass demonstrations begin at 1:30 and run until 5. A barbecue potluck runs from 5:30 to 6:30, followed by the glass auction at 7 p.m. The auction will feature pieces from past visiting artists and from glass crafters around the state.
