These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or PopTarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: pizza, tossed salad, strawberry-banana cup, cake.
Wednesday: burrito, cheese sauce, nacho chips, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, dinner roll, peach half.
Friday: little smokies, macaroni and cheese, green beans, dinner roll, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Monday: ham, roasted baby bakers, lima beans, rye bread, apricots.
Tuesday: scalloped chicken, broccoli, wheat roll, cantaloupe.
Wednesday: Italian pasta bake, lettuce salad, Texas toast, cran-apple crisp.
Thursday: chef salad, banana muffin, bean salad, crackers.
Friday: beef and noodles, stir-fry vegetables, wheat roll, pineapple-mango paradise.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Monday: barbecue ribette, french fries, spinach, bun, strawberry shortcake.
Tuesday: goulash, mixed vegetables, biscuits, fruited gelatin, sherbet.
Wednesday: oven-fried chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, wheat roll, pear-cheese salad.
Thursday: hamburger steak, hash brown casserole, peas and carrots, wheat bread, apricots.
Friday: roast pork, boiled potatoes and gravy, winter-mix vegetables, bread, four-fruit compote.
