Card shower
Clarence Schmidt of Olpe will celebrate his 80th birthday Sunday. His family is requesting a card shower, with cards to be sent to Clarence Schmidt, P.O. Box 186, Olpe, KS 66865.
Birthday reception
Helen Neill will be the guest of honor at a cake and punch birthday reception from 7 to 10 p.m. April 12 at the American Legion, 2921 W. 12th Ave.
She will celebrate her 90th birthday April 13. Neill was secretary at the ESU Physical Plant for more than 15 years. The family requests no gifts, but cards may be sent to her at 2001 Greenbriar Drive, Emporia, KS 66801.
