On behalf of the Emporia High School Student Council I would like to thank the Emporia community for its contributions to the Project Emporia food drive.
The effort this year was a huge success, thanks to the involvement of so many people. Overall, 4,701 non-perishable food items and $4,453.67 were donated.
I would like to give special thanks to ESB Financial for matching food donations made at its locations and the Bernard and Jane Reeble Foundation for matching $1,500 of the monetary contributions. All of the food and money raised will be of great benefit to the Salvation Army, SOS, and Men’s Rescue Mission.
Everyone’s support of this worthwhile cause is greatly appreciated.
