A semi truck driver from Burrton received minor injuries Friday evening when he lost control of his 2005 semi on the Kansas Turnpike near Emporia.
The Kansas Turnpike Authority’s accident log said that Bobby Dyck, 57, was traveling south on the turnpike at 9:03 p.m. Friday about three miles north of the Emporia interchange when his semi skidded on the wet roadway and struck a bridge rail. The semi then went into the ditch and rolled over through a fence.
Dyck was taken to Newman Regional Health by Lyon County ambulance. He was treated and released.
