ESU soccer falls to truman, 7-0

The Emporia State soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to Truman on Saturday in Kirksville, Mo.
Jessica Wiegert notched two goals in the first half to help the Bulldogs to a 4-0 halftime lead. Tallies by Katelyn Talcott, Riley Mahn and Erin Buning rounded out Truman’s scoring.
ESU was outshot 32-2; Sarah Tetuan and Lauren Cathey provided the only shots.
Hornets keeper Megan Martin posted nine saves.
ESU (0-9, 0-5 MIAA) returns home Friday to face Missouri Southern.
