Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: cereal and muffin or Pop Tarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.
Wednesday: pizza or cereal and graham cookie.
Thursday: parent-teacher conferences, no school.
Friday: parent-teacher conferences, no school.
LUNCH
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, fries, green beans, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: crispitos, nach chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Wednesday: turkey fritter, dinner roll, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, peach half.
Thursday: parent-teacher conferences, no school .
Friday: parent-teacher conferences, no school.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.
Monday: huntington chicken, creamy potatoes and peas, spinach salad, wheat roll, peaches.
Tuesday: beef stroganoff, corn O’Brien, lettuce salad, wheat bread, tropical fruit with mandarin oranges.
Wednesday: oven-fried chicken legs, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake.
Thursday: spaghetti with meat sauce, italian vegetables, texas toast, raspberry gelatin with fruit.
Friday: frankfurter, bun, cabbage, macaroni salad, pears.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.
Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
Monday: scalloped potatoes with ham, spinach, bread, pineapple upside down cake.
Tuesday: pork roast, cheesy hash browns, california-blend vegetables, bread, strawberries with topping.
Wednesday: chili with beans, vegetable salad, crackers, fruit cocktail, cinnamon roll.
Thursday: chicken enchilada, lettuce with tomato, orange sherbet salad.
Friday: cook’s choice.
