Three Waverly men were sentenced to prison this week for their roles in a methamphetmine manufacturing operation, according to information from Douglas P. Witteman, Coffey County attorney.
The sentencings came before District Judge Phillip M. Fromme in Coffey County District Court in Burlington.
Randy L. Nichols, 23, was sentenced on Wednesday to a term of 43 months in prison for conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance.
Also on Wednesday, James P. Brannan, 28, was sentenced to 78 months in prison for manufacturing a controlled substance.
James D. Riddle, 44, received a 56-month sentence for aiding and abetting manufacturing of a controlled substance.
All of the charges are Severity Level 1 drug felonies.
Witteman said that the varying sentences were because of different criminal history scores and their level of involvement in the meth manufacturing scheme.
The three men, along with two women, were arrested in May after an investigation by the Coffey County Sheriff’s Department.
One of the women, Lisa A. Riddle, 42, was sentenced to 49 months in prison for aiding and abetting manufacture of a controlled substance.
Teresa L. Crane, 31, of Waverly is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 10 for her conviction of aiding and abetting manufacture of a controlled substance.
