At the Emma Chase

Folk singer Barb Ryman and blues players Dan Bliss and John Walker will perform Saturday at the Emma Chase Cafe in Cottonwood Falls.

Ryman’s show begins at 6 p.m. She has five CD releases, the most recent of which, “Earthbound,” came out this year.

John Walker of Nebraska recently won third place at the fingerpickin’ guitar contest at Winfield. He has performed country blues for more than 30 years.

Dan Bliss has called Kansas City home for 20 years and takes his inspiration from jazz and blues legends such as Ray Charles, Bill Broonzy and many others.

Walker and Bliss will begin their portion of the show at 7:30 p.m.

Dinner will be served from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Audience members may wish to bring lawn chairs, as the musicians will perform outside, weather permitting. The tip jar will be available for the performers. For more information, call (620) 273-6020.
