Emporia Main Street is now eligible for StartUp Kansas funding, which was established to help NetWork Kansas Resource partners obtain supplemental capital for Kansas entrepreneurs in business startups and expansions in rural and distressed communities.
A news release said the funding is provided in the form of matching grants or unsecured loans that match the terms of other financing provided by a NetWork Kansas Resource Partner working on behalf of the entrepreneur. As a NetWork Kansas resource partner, Emporia Main Street hopes to use the Incentives Without Walls and Trusler loan programs in combination with the StartUp Kansas funds to promote a vibrant business environment in the downtown district.
