Hartford volleyball takes 2nd in tourney

The Hartford volleyball team posted a 4-1 record at its home tourney this weekend, making it to the championship match before falling to Berean Academy in three games.
The Lady Jags started with a 25-15, 25-20 victory over Northern Heights. Kim Darbro had four kills, while Amber Schmidt picked up three.
Hartford took a 25-15, 25-11 triumph over Hamilton in Match Two. The Lady Jaguars had a .308 attack percentage and notched 12 aces.
Hartford took down Oxford (25-19, 25-16) in the third match and Crest (20-25, 25-11, 25-21) in Match Four.
Kellie Farr had six kills in 10 attempts against Oxford, while Schmidt and Farr posted five kills each against Crest.
The Lady Jaguars’ run came to an end with their 16-25, 25-12, 25-20 loss to Berean Academy.
Amy Bolen led the team in the finale with eight kills.
