Air Force Airman 1st Class Christopher S. Harris, a 2007 graduate of Chase County High School, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
He is the son of Scott Harris of Strong City and nephew of David Harris of Cottonwood Falls.
During six weeks of training, Harris studied the Air Force mission and organization, its military customs and courtesies, performed drill and ceremony marches and received physical training. He learned rifle marksmanship, participated in field training exercises and special training in human relations.
In addition, by completing basic training, Harris earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
