The Emporia City Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the commission chambers, 518 Mechanic St. Commissioners will consider:
• A proclamation recognizing the crew of the B-29 bomber “William Allen White” on Sept. 29.
• Removing parking from the south side of the 500 to 600 block of West Seventh Avenue.
• An ordinance granting a planned unit development for town homes on Prairie Street.
• An ordinance approving the annexation of the Woods’ home.
• An ordinance rezoning the REG land north of South Avenue from light industrial (I-1) to heavy industrial (I-2) and another rezoning the Hill’s Pet Nutrition rail spur from heavy industrial (I-2) to light industrial (I-1).
• Approval of an incentive compliance agreement with Hill’s.
• Bids for the Rural Water District No. 5 water main and the Cedar Bend Second Addition paving project.
• Bids for the sidewalk project on South Avenue between Prairie and West streets.
• The city manager’s report.
The commission will then adjourn to Sept. 26 to approve a bond sale.
