Whittington family

Descendants of Charles Lewis and Margaret Alice Jones Whittington met Sept. 2 at the Sauder Community Center in Madison for the annual Whittington reunion. Family memories and photographs were shared over a potluck dinner.

The family of Charles and Margaret Whittington are all deceased: Phillip, Sadie, Artie, Anna, Ben, Lida, Charles, Thomas, Leslie and Rhoda Mae (Artie 2nd).

Phil Reaka reminded everyone that we must encourage our children and grandchildren to attend the reunions to keep the interest going for the future. Many traditional family reunions have stopped because of loss of interest by the younger generation. The Whittington reunion began in the 1920s.
