K-State graduates
More than 490 students received degrees from Kansas State University at Manhattan this summer, including these from the Emporia area:
Chase County — Kristen Kay Barnes, master of arts.
Coffey County — Bridget Danielle Reed, Burlington, master of accountancy; Michael B. Redding, Gridley, master of accountancy; Megan Annette Gourley, Lebo, B.S. in business administration; and Jessica Dawn Hazen, LeRoy, B.S. in human ecology.
Morris County — Lesley Renee Krause, master of science; Callie L .Schultz, master of science.
KU graduates
More than 900 students received degrees from the University of Kansas after the 2006 summer session. Because KU conducts only one formal commencement ceremony each year, many of these graduates will return as members of the Class of 2008 to take part in commencement exercises May 18.
Graduates from the Emporia area include:
Coffey County: Miranda Leigh Joy, Burlington, master of science in education; Burlington Jennifer Luvene Waller, Burlington, bachelor of science in education.
Morris County — Sara Ashly Snow daughter, Council Grove, bachelor of arts.
