Extension elections
The Lyon County Extension Council elections will be held Oct. 3 in the front conference room at the Lyon County Extension Office, 618 Commercial St. People 18 years and older who live within Lyon County may vote any time from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Eligible voters who would like to have their names placed on the Extension Council ballot may do so by submitting, in writing, their name, address, commissioner district in which they live and the program development committee they would like to serve on. Send to Matt Horton, extension council chairman, 618 Commercial St., Emporia, KS 66801. The information needs to be sent before Friday. The four program development committees are Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development and Community Development.
