Emporia Schools

BREAKFAST

Monday: cereal and muffin or Pop Tarts.

Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookie.

Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookie.

Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookie.

Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookie.

LUNCH

Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.

Tuesday: double-cheese pizza, tossed salad, strawberry shortcake.

Wednesday: burrito with cheese sauce, nacho chips, tossed salad, applesauce.

Thursday: country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, peaches.

Friday: little smokies, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, orange smiles.

Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.

Friendship Meals

EMPORIA

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.

Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home-delivered meals, call 340-8001.

Monday: beef and noodles, mashed potaoes, broccoli, pineapple, cookie.

Tuesday: chili, coleslaw, crackers, cinnamon roll.

Wednesday: italian pasta bake, brussel sprouts, roll, applesauce.

Thursday: sweet and sour chicken, steamed rice, oriental vegetables, wheat bread, orange fluff.

Friday: fish, macaroni and cheeaew, mixed vegetables, roll, strawberries and peaches.

NORTH LYON COUNTY

Friendship meals are served at noon at: The Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414.

Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Monday: cook’s choice.

Tuesday: ham loaf, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, bread, baked apples.

Wednesday: chicken and rice casserole, spinach, biscuits, hot spiced peaches,cookie.

Thursday: goulash, cauliflower, bread, strawberries and bananas.

Friday: roast beef, party potatoes, green beans, wheat bread, five-cup salad.
