Minister installation
On Sunday, the Rev. Dave Hintz will be installed as the new senior pastor for the Flint Hills Christian Church, during a 10:15 a.m. worship service.
A fellowship dinner will be held after the service to welcome the new pastor, his wife, Becky, and their three children, Julia, Nathan and Amberly.
Hintz was born in Canada to American parents and lived all over the country because of his father’s job with the engineering firm of Black and Veatch.
He grew up in the Kansas City area, and stayed to attend the University of Kansas. He graduated with honors from KU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, then spent two years serving as a missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ in Debrecen, Hungary.
Upon his return to the United States, he enrolled in and graduated with honors in 2001 from Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, Calif., with a master’s degree in divinity. He was college and evangelism pastor at Calvary Bible Church from 2001 to 2007.
