The Chase County volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Wednesday night, falling to Herington, 2-1, and Burlingame, 2-0.
Against Herington, the Lady Bulldogs took the first game, 25-19, but could not sustain that effort, falling 25-7 in Game Two before dropping the deciding third set, 25-19.
Ashley Cahoone and Robin Grokett each tallied four kills in the match, with Breanne Davis dishing out 34 sets and Kylee Scott totaling eight blocks.
Against Burlingame, Chase County lost in straight sets, 25-21, 25-15.
Scott led the Lady Bulldogs with five kills, while Brianna Talkington and Allison Hartley each added four.
Lyndon keeps perfect record
The Lyndon volleyball team ran its record to 5-0 Tuesday night with two sweeps over Hartford and Waverly.
The Lady Tigers defeated Hartford, 25-16, 25-12, before taking out Waverly, 25-21, 25-23.
Against Hartford, the duo of Krista Banzhaf and Stephanie Goetz was too much for the Lady Jags, as the pair each tallied seven kills to lead Lyndon. Cara Bolz and Lindsay Wigger had 11 and 10 digs, respectively, while Banzhaf dished out 10 assists.
Against Waverly, Ashley Persinger led the way with eight kills, while Goetz again piled up seven kills, as did Chelsea Schmitz.
Wigger and Bazhaf each dished out 14 assists, with Bolz getting a team-high 20 digs.
