Emporia State University will match an allocation from the Kansas Legislature to add another faculty member to its department of nursing. ESU received $39,172 from the state of Kansas as part of the Legislature’s Nursing Faculty and Supplies Initiative.
“From those funds, $29,172 will be matched by ESU to cover salary and benefits for a new nursing faculty member,” explained Judith Calhoun, nursing department chair. “In addition, $10,000 from the grant will also be matched by ESU to create a one-time nursing faculty retention award.”
ESU is seeking applications from individuals interested in the teaching position.
