Biscuits and gravy
The Americus Masonic Lodge members will be selling biscuits and gravy from 7 to 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at the Masonic Lodge at the corner of Main and Broadway. The money raised will be used for maintenance and community projects. For information, Claude Roswurm, (620) 443-5570.
Sesquicentennial book
Forms to order the Americus Sesquicentennial book may be picked up at the Americus Township Library. For information, Jan Huston, (620) 443-5214.
Chamber of Commerce
The regular monthly meeting of the Americus Chamber of Commerce will be at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the USD 251 Meeting Room. The annual meeting, the holiday parade, the holiday lighting contest, and the membership drive will be on the agenda. The Sesquicentennial Luncheon is noon to 1 p.m. Saturday and features chicken salad and turkey salad. Guests are asked to bring a dessert item and tableware. The luncheon is open to the public. Methodist church
The annual fall festival is Saturday with dinner served beginning at 4:30 p.m. There will be items for sale at a crafts booth and musical entertainment throughout the evening.
