Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and clodhoppers or Pop Tarts.
Tuesday: ham and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: funnel cake or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: funnel cake with cherries or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: little piggy or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: hot ham and cheese sandwich on a bun, tater tots, broccoli florets and dip, pineapple tidbits.
Tuesday: bosco sticks, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cookie.
Wednesday: beef taco burger, mexican rice, tossed salad, apple wedges.
Thursday: chicken nuggets, dinner roll, cherry tomatoes, rosy applesauce, strawberries.
Friday:chili, Frito corn chips, cinnamon roll, green beans, banana, yogurt.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: breakfast wrap, seasoned diced potatoes, fruited yogurt, muffin, orange.
Tuesday: swiss steak, peas, scalloped potatoes, bread, pineapple.
Wednesday: beef lasagna, mediterranean vegetables, wheat roll, ambrosia.
Thursday: stuffed potato with chicken and cheese sauce, baby carrots, rye bread, cherry crisp.
Friday: frankfurter on a bun, cabbage, macaroni salad, pears.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: hamburger gravy, noodles, beets, biscuit, easy fruit dessert.
Tuesday: parmesan chicken, broccoli rice au gratin, garlic bread, apricots.
Wednesday: cook’s choice.
Thursday: beef stew, cornbread, cottage cheese with peaches, cherry crisp.
Friday: lasagna, italian blend vegetables, garlic bread, watergate salad.
