Senior Life Fair

The Flint Hills Senior Life Fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Flint Hills Christian Church Harvest House, 1836 E. Highway 50. This year’s event will feature speakers throughout the day. The keynote speaker, Dr. Jerry Old of Hospice Care of Kansas will speak at 12:45 p.m. about “Vintage People - Secrets of Successful Aging.” There will be health and educational screenings, entertainment, exhibits and door prizes. Free and discounted screenings are open to all ages. Fair attendance is free; however, advance lunch registration of $5 is required. The lunch buffet includes entree, side dishes, bread, dessert and beverage.

CPR class

Newman Regional Health will be host for an American Heart Association First Aid Adult-Infant-Child CPR class from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday in the Continuing Education Classroom. Those who want to take the class can register in person at NRH Marketing and Education Department on the second floor of the hospital. For more information, call 343-6800, ext. 2521.

Diabetic Support Group

The Diabetic Support Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 6 in the Continuing Education Classroom at Newman Regional Health. The topic will be “Holiday Food Survival.” For more information, call 340-6161.

The Hand in Hand Hospice grief support group meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. the third Monday of each month at 1015 Industrial Road, (north of Gambino’s Pizza). This meeting is open to anyone in the community who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Information: 340-6177.

MEND — Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death — is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to reach out to those who have lost a child to miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death.
