Flu shots
Newman Regional Health is offering a walk-in flu shot clinic from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the north main lobby of the hospital. Shots cost $20 and people with Medicaid or those enrolled in Medicare Part B are covered. The clinic is for individuals over 9 years old. Use Entrance C on the north side of the hospital and take advantage of this opportunity to receive a flu shot at Newman Regional Health.
Hartford festival planning
The Hartford Harvest Day committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the small Hartford Community Center. The group will discuss possible changes to next year’s schedule and appoint a new chairman for 2008. The meeting is open to the public.
Birthday reception
Marjorie Winzeler will celebrate her 90th birthday with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sauder Community Center in Madison. Her actual birthday in Oct 30. Cards may be sent to her at 116 S. Third, Madison, KS 66860. There is a request for no gifts, only “your presence.”
