Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or Pop Tarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, french fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: taco pizza, tossed salad, strawberry shortcake.
Wednesday: crispitos, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: turkey fritter, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: popcorn chicken with yogurt, macaroni and cheese, green beans, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Monday: italian pasta bake, brussel sprouts, roll, applesauce.
Tuesday: chili, coleslaw, crackers, cinnamon roll.
Wednesday: beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, broccoli, pineapple, cookie.
Thursday: sweet and sour chicken, steamed rice, oriental vegetables, wheat bread, orange fluff.
Friday: fish, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, roll, strawberries and peaches.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: porcupine meatballs, pasta with butter sauce, spinach, wheat bread, waldorf salad.
Wednesday: polish sausage, macaroni and cheese, california-blend vegetables, wheat bread, frozen fruit salad.
Thursday: baked chicken, potato wedges, peas, wheat bread, cinnamon apples.
Friday: honey-glazed pork chops, parslied potatoes, vegetable, bread, mixed fruit.
