Teens injured in one-vehicle accident

One teenager was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health and another went by private vehicle to his physician after an accident at 7:39 a.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Road 190.
According to a report from the Lyon County Sheriff’s office, Dustin Williams, 15, was driving a 1991 Dodge pickup truck westbound when he crested a hill and tried to move over to avoid an oncoming school bus.
Williams lost control of the truck and struck a tree. He was taken to Newman for treatment.
A passenger, Travis Brummett, 17.
The school bus, carrying one passenger, went into the south ditch. No damage or injuries were reported.
