Nearly 900 people received influenza vaccinations Wednesday at the drive-through clinic at Newman Regional Health. Nancy LeClear, marketing and education director for Newman, said 895 shots were given during the 10-hour clinic.
In a clinic on Oct. 11 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds, staff from the Lyon County Health Department and emergency services agencies gave flu shots to 1,584 people.
Newman plans a walk-in vaccination clinic from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the hospital. Several Emporia pharmacies also plan clinics and medical practices in Emporia also have vaccine available for their patients. Influenza vaccinations are also available at the health department, 420 W. 15th Ave.
