Symposium deadline

Wednesday is the deadline to register for the 2007 Women’s Symposium sponsored by the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and underwritten by American Family Insurance.
The symposium, planned for Oct. 24 at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, will feature Kathy Dempsey as the keynote speaker. Dempsey is president of Keep Shedding!, a company designed to help people and businesses grow by “shedding their skin.” Kyelene Flaming of The Arnold Group is the opening speaker.
The half-day symposium is offered in both morning and afternoon sessions. The cost is $60 per person for Chamber member businesses and $80 for non-members. Students pay $30.
