EPA fellow
Rachel Lane of Emporia has received a Greater Research Opportunities fellowship from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Lane is a junior at Emporia State University where she is studying for a bachelor’s degree in environmental chemistry with a minor in geospatial analysis. Her research will involve ways to treat perchclorate contamination of ground water. The fellowship pays tuition and a stipend for the junior and senior years of study and includes a summer internship at an EPA facility. Lane is the daughter of David and Maria Lane.
