Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: in-service, no school.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: in-service, no school.
Tuesday: grilled chicken on a bun, tater tots, broccoli florets and dip, pineapple tidbits.
Wednesday: chicken fajita, soft tortilla, mexican rice, tossed salad, apple wedges.
Thursday: chicken strips, dinner roll, cheesy potatoes, corn, peach half.
Friday: bosco sticks, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cookie.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken and noodles, winter mix vegetables, creamed corn, roll, apricots.
Tuesday: hamburger gravy and mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, biscuit, pineapple-mango paradise.
Wednesday: chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake and ice cream.
Thursday: pulled-pork sandwich, lima beans, baked potato, fruit cocktail.
Friday: soft taco with cheese, black bean salad, lettuce, flour totilla, orange gelatin with carrots.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: egg and sausage bake, fruit, coffee cake, juice, pudding.
Wednesday: sweet and sour chicken, rice, bread, italian-blend vegetables, strawberries and bananas.
Thursday: sloppy joe on a bun, scalloped corn, under the sea salad, crispy rice bar.
Friday: pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, wheat roll, pear and cheese salad.
