Heights boys 2nd, girls 3rd at League meet

Led by third- and fourth-place finishes from Pete Symmonds and Chris Seematter, the Northern Heights boys took second place out of five teams at the Flint Hills League Meet on Thursday.
The Wildcats finished with 48 teams points, 14 behind first-place Osage City.
Symmonds competed the race in a time of 17:40, with Seematter right behind with a time of 17:48.
Justin Heston (9th, 19:00), Brian Hultgren (15th, 19:44) and D.J. Bronson (17th, 20:03) rounded out Heights’ scoring.
On the girls side, Gesina Miller (17:56) and Bailey Zeigler (18:01) finished 6-7 as the Lady Wildcats took third out of four teams, edging out Mission Valley by a single point.
Annie Adams (19:09) took 15th, Amy Lee (19:11) was 16th and Cheyenne Shirley (23:41) finished 21st.
