Americus council
The Americus City Council meets at 7 p.m. today for a business meeting. The agenda includes visitors; meet the public; bills to pay; treasurer and clerk report; presentation of vacation requests, petitions, filed complaints; reports of standing committees; adopt the agenda which includes Americus energy franchise update, towing contract, building inspector, final pool report and other.
Library board
Members of the board of the Emporia Public Library meet at 4:15 p.m Wednesday in the Storytime Room. The agenda includes budget and finance and administrative report; committee reports; representative reports, including Friends of the Library by Sherry Watkins, NCKL by Jack Havenhill and Diversity Outreach by Jesse Solis; old business, including the Swanson endowment fund, Curry endowment fund, public computer management software; new business — the Lyon County Library annual visit.
Lyon County commission
The Lyon County Commission will meet for an action session at 8 a.m. Thursday in the commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse. Items on the agenda include looking at agreements between Lyon County and Admire to provide law enforcement services and animal control services.
