These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffin or Pop Tarts.
Tuesday: sausage-cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: Pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots, dip, Mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: double cheese pizza, tossed salad, strawberry shortcake.
Wednesday: burrito, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: country steak, dinner roll, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, peach half.
Friday: little smokies with yogurt, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, orange smiles.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: chicken-fried steak, mashed potato, gravy, gingersnap medley, bread, pineapple chunks.
Tuesday: meatballs, fettucini Alfredo, stir-fry vegetables, roll, fruit cup.
Wednesday: sliced turkey roast, stuffing, green beans, wheat roll, peanut butter pie.
Thursday: ham and beans, stewed tomatoes, cornbread, scalloped apples.
Friday: hamburger, broccoli salad, sliced tomato, bun, pineapple upside-down cake.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: chicken and vegetable casserole with biscuits, lettuce and tomato salad, creamy orange salad, tropical island bar.
Wednesday: smothered steak, baked potato, mixed vegetables, bread, five-cup salad.
Thursday: ham with pineapple ring, bread dressing, winter mix, bread, strawberries.
Friday: turkey slice, potatoes, gravy, peas and pearl onions, roll, peaches with topping.
