Human Relations Commission meets Monday
The Emporia Human Relations Commission meets Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the city commission meeting room. Patty Gilligan, human relations director, will present her report on the topics of contacts and complaints, the neighborhood revitalization program, the Eastside Community grant application and Disability Mentoring Day on Oct. 17.
Also on the agenda is the current draft of the rental program to be presented to city commissioners on Wednesday and an inclusive community designation from the National League of Cities.
FHTC trustees to give awards Monday
Trustees of Flint Hills Technical College meet at 4 p.m. Monday to give awards to Stuart Schneider, Keim Trucking representative, and Steve Harmon, entrepreneurship award. Other agenda items include financial reports and the naming of the FHTC auditorium.
