Flint Hills Technical College
Friday, October 5, 2007
Beware of pirates as the Flint Hills Technical College Foundation weighs anchor for “Treasure Quest,” this year’s theme for the 6th annual benefit auction slated for Friday, Feb. 22.
The Emporia Country Club will be transformed into a pirate’s cove with lots of loot for the bidding. Treasure raised will support the efforts of the foundation as it assists technical college students with scholarships and educational opportunities.
This year’s honorary hosts will be Brian Lewallen and his crew at Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing-Central.
“We are very excited to have Brian and his team as the honorary hosts this year. Detroit Diesel and FHTC have had a strong partnership for many years,” said Jodi Heermann, executive director of advancement at the foundation. “This is our way to honor their support of the students and the college.”
There will be a variety of ways to participate in the auction to guarantee its success. Advance ticket sales will begin in January.
