County commissioners learned Wednesday that the remodel of the former Deer Trail building, near the Lyon County Fairgrounds, could be done by Christmas.
Dustin Ochs, of CKEC, said he has been pressing the contractor, Markowitz Builders, for a timeline on the building, which is being remodeled for the Lyon County Extension Office. Ochs said he was told that the building should be move-in ready by Christmas. Ochs said he’s been asking weekly about the project.
Fortunately, we don’t have our extension crew in a tent, but they will be handicapped somewhat,” Commission Chairman Marshall Miller said. “They will have computer and Internet and that’s about it.”
