The Emporia State men’s basketball team has made a monumental leap in the latest NABC Division II Coaches Poll.
The Hornets jumped 13 spots to 10th after starting the season 4-0.
The ESU women, meanwhile, dropped four notches from No. 3 to No. 7 in the WBCA poll after their 71-66 loss to Central Oklahoma on Saturday. The Lady Hornets are the highest ranked one-loss team in the poll.
ESU is one of only three schools in the nation — and the only MIAA school — to have both its men’s and women’s basketball teams ranked in the top 25.
