The Sandstroms

Rich and Charity Sandstrom and daughters, Kathrina and Arabella, went to Hutchinson for Thanksgiving dinner with Charity Sandstrom’s family. Relatives, from babies to a 90-year-old, are expected to attend from California, Maryland, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Kansas.

Among the entertainment planned, in addition to catching up on cousins’ activities, was playing an East Central African game called “cow,” with homemade game board and marbles.

The Bradburys

Charles and Jan Bradbury of Emporia celebrated the Sunday after Thanksgiving in Zanesville, Ohio, at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Jeff and Cyndi Strathman, and grandchildren, Ashlyn, Nate and Noah. Also attending were their son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Brent and Shelly Bradbury and Aiden. There was an early birthday celebration for Aiden, who will be 2 years old on Dec. 2.

Mathew Moyer and his family

One-year-old Mathew Moyer of Lebo traveled with his mom and dad, Steve and Amy Moyer, brothers, Jacob and Nathan, and Great-grandma Betty Worcester to see his Nanny (Linda lamb) and Uncle Mickey.

They live in Branson Mo. After the family ate turkey dinner, they went to see the Christmas lights in Branson. The best part was taking his new puppy, Mathew reported through his mother. The puppy’s name is Miley.

Ashten Scheller

Ashten Scheller of Emporia celebrated Thanksgiving day and Friday with her family, including relatives from her mom’s side, who live in Kansas City. She said, “First, we (my family) stay here on Thanksgiving day and go to my grandparents’ house from my dad’s side of the family and visit with relatives from my dad’s side. Then the next day we go up to Kansas City, visit with my mom’s side of the family and then go to Crown Center that night and see a really big Christmas tree.”

Brandy Nance

Brandy Nance spent Thanksgiving day at her mother and father’s home in Wichita. She also celebrated with her brother, Dalton. The family spent a quiet Thanksgiving together eating, watching TV and going back for second helpings of food, which included mom’s famous fruit salad.

“I only get it once a year, so we strive to enjoy it!” Nance wrote.
