Lady Hornets lose first November game since 2002

The No. 3 Emporia State Lady Hornets fell in an early 19-4 hole and never recovered, falling 71-66 to Central Oklahoma on Saturday at the Cameron Thankgiving Classic in Lawton, Okla.
ESU never led in the game.
The Lady Hornets would get as close as 48-46 with 9:29 left in the second half, but UCO used a 6-0 run to regain a comfortable lead.
Despite having foul trouble most of the game, ESU's Michelle Stueve had 24 points and 12 rebounds. She made 7 of her 9 three-point attempts.
Andrea Leiker was the only other ESU player in double figures with 14.
The Lady Hornets lost despite out-rebounding UCO 42-26. They also made 10 of their 15 three-point attempts.
ESU had not lost a November game since 2002.
The Lady Hornets (3-1) will face Evangel at home on Dec. 3.
