Burlington
The Coffey County Republican reported that the Burlington City Council hired an engineer for its sewer project when the council met recently.
The council voted 5-0 to hire Bartlett & West to work out sewer details as it related to a Kansas Department of Transportation project on South Fourth Street and to develop a proposal to upgrade the sewer system throughout the city.

The Chase County Leader-News reported that the Chase County Board of Education met on Monday and made the decision to accept a bid for the financing of the Haw building for the new unified school district board offices from Cottonwood Valley Bank.
