Emporia Schools
These meals will be served next week in the Emporia schools:
Breakfast
Monday: cereal and muffins or Pop Tarts.
Tuesday: sausage and cheese biscuit or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: drizzled scone of cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Lunch
Monday: chicken patty on a bun, fries, baby carrots and dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: double cheese pizza, tossed salad, cake or vanilla wafers, strawberries.
Wednesday: burrito, nacho chips, cheese sauce, tossed salad, applesauce.
Thursday: country steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: little smokies, macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, orange smiles, yogurt.
Breakfast is served with juice and milk; lunch is served with milk.
Friendship Meals
Emporia
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: beef stroganoff, O’Brien corn, lettuce salad, wheat bread, tropical fruit with mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: huntington chicken, creamy potatoes and peas, spinach salad, wheat roll, peaches.
Wednesday: oven-fried chicken legs, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake.
Thursday: spaghetti with meat sauce, italian vegetables, texas toast, pineapple.
Friday: creamy noodles with ham, corn, spinach, wheat roll, gelatin with fruit.
North Lyon County
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

Tuesday: ham and beans, california-blend vegetables, cornbread, peach shortcake.
Wednesday: barbecue chicken, potatoes, lettuce and tomato salad, wheat bread, five-cup salad.
Thursday: taco salad casserole, apricots, cookie, sherbet.
Friday: swiss steak, tomatoes, potato wedges, peas, bread, applesauce gelatin.
