I WOULD LIKE to take this opportunity to thank our Mayor Julie Johnson, City Commissioners Jim Kessler, Jeff Longbine and Kevin Nelson, City Manager Matt Zimmerman, along with Chief Mike Lopez, Keith Beatty, Chuck Samples, and Brandy Nance for participating in our Fire Ops 101 event held last week at Fire Station 2.
Taking the time out of their busy schedules to attend an educational event that gave them first hand knowledge of what it takes to provide Fire and EMS service shows the dedication that they have for the citizens of Emporia. On behalf of the Emporia Firefighters I would like to thank them for their time and enthusiasm while going through the Fire Ops 101 event.
